Gabriel Anguiano
Gabe Anguiano started playing soccer at the age of 6 when he fell in love with the competitiveness of the sport. He grew up in Oregon where he played four years varsity soccer for McMinnville High School. Soccer brought him to Utah and he became a Westminster College Alumni, graduating with a Bachelor’s Degree in International Business in 2001. While a student-athlete at Westminster he played for the men’s NAIA soccer program for four years, serving as team captain three of the four years. He was voted First Team NAIA All-Region in 1997. He was a four-time member and team captain of the Utah State Select soccer team and competed in the State Select National Tournaments. In 2001, he was team captain of the Diablos Salt Lake City soccer team who became National Champions.
Gabe has coached at Cascade Surge Youth Soccer Club and has continued to coach at various age levels. He loves to spend his time teaching his kids and others about the game that gave him so much. He is scheduled to complete his “E” license course July of 2017.
