Inaugural Season

Dear COMBA FC Parents and Players:

As our inaugural season as Comba FC begins, Coach Gutierrez and I want to express our sincere gratitude for the outpouring of kindness and support from all the parents and players. I am sure many of you understand the challenges of venturing out on your own and we certainly could not have done it without your support.

Thank you to those who helped organize and those who attended the Club BBQ on the 10th of August and to those who have helped sort our home pitch including the manufacturing of goals for the different age groups. Your willingness to support events like helps us follow our mission statement that reads:

The mission of COMBA FC is to prepare athletes for the next level of competition. We commit to do this through age appropriate training, a positive development environment, and maintaining a fun enjoyable experience. Focusing on the players first, each individual should have strong fundamentals, confidence, and good sportsmanship to carry them to their highest potential. Focusing on teamwork second, each individual will have a strong understanding of their individual role and how this creates a stronger team. Our organization believes it starts with quality coaches and organizational volunteers who are passionate, supportive and exemplary role models of sportsmanship.

We would like to specifically thank our team managers, coaches, and the Walton and Paulsen families for ensuring a successful event.

Now our focus shifts to ensuring the players grow, individually and as a team, and enjoy this fall season. As parents, you play an important and very positive role in the development of your child and their teammates. We invite all parents, grandparents, siblings and other family members to attend our games and enjoy the progress the player will make over the year. Because we can all be reminded on how to best support our teams, I am providing a link to an article that will help you help us create a positive environment for kids, coaches, referees and volunteers. Please take the time to read this and share with other family members who attend our games.

Finally, we have an open door policy at the club. Please feel free to contact any of the coaches with any concerns you may have. We will make sure we do the best we can to address any concerns. Your willingness to be the best parents you can be will allow us to be the best coaches we can be. Together, we will help these kids build a foundation for a successful future regardless of what they decide to pursue.

Sincerely,
Coach Tracy Burnett
